I was asked to make something with st Patricks Day theme.... Now Paddys day isnt something that we celebrate. I am Scottish and St Andrew is the Patron Saint of Scotland.... Then I thought about it.... my surname is Gallacher which is Irish, my family are from Donegal in Southern Ireland so maybe i should use that as my excuse!

Over at Biblical Impressions I picked up this lovely stamp based on Matthew 6, 26-27

I made 3 little Bible markers as a reminder that He loves us and provides for our needs, maybe not what we think we need but what He knows we really need.... I kept them plain and sweet as they will tuck inside our Bibles and the text is more important than the decor. If you want to win one of these little bible markers then please leave me a comment. I used memento Black ink, Nesties Dies and voile ribbon, the purple is Bazzil Bling cardstock and the blue is Sapphire Bazzil.

Biblical Impressions - Grace and Peace

Its been a little while since my last post due to some rather upsetting things happening at home. I apologise for this. Things are starting to pick themselves back up again and get back onto an even keel thankfully.

Oh and I am entering this into a Crafty Challenge :) on Emmas Cards UK - http://www.emmascardsuk.com/p/emmas-crafty-challenge_06.html its my first ever proper blog challenge item... I have never really taken time to enter so today is my first! xx

I sat and read it and smiled... I forgot to take everything to Him... He offers Grace and Peace as a promise and I decided that I would make up a wall hanging to remind me..

I used Pretty Paper, white stamping card-stock and some rather delicious Dies.

The Stamp works a treat. I sometimes have problems with large stamps that only stamp in places or over stamp in other sections.. this one works a dream!!! it is soooo deeply etched that I stamped once and that was the image I got.... in perfection and without a single smudge, miss stamp or smear.

Some things in life really make me smile!! and working stamps are the best things EVER!!!

I stamped the image using Memento Ink in tuxedo black onto white cardstock. used Stormy Sky mixed with Peeled paint Distress ink pad to colour the edge and mounted it onto the back layer... the result is this.... I LOVE IT

I added some small flowers to the edges too in white. I was going to make it as my Bible marker but worried that I would forget it was there and would be tucked away until I picked up that particular page I had marked.

I have two cards n kits to blog. However, my daughter fell downstairs on Friday and is badly bruised. Then my wee Granny had a stroke and is in hospital just now. Can I have a new weekend please? This one is rubbish.

Freeezing

Brrrrrr its freeeezing outside! Katie is in bed as arthritis flared up. She did spend yesterday in town with friends even though it was cold! I tried my best to make her understand that it wasn't her best choice ... Today she woke in tears creaks when she moves and is in a lot of pain .... Poor kid so coffee for me while she sleeps and clear up and finish craft area! My living room is in here somewhere lol

Playing with stamps

I don't know about you... Sometimes I need to stamp and colour an image a few times so I can get the feel for an image.

I make lots of mistakes until I am happy. It's part of the fun of crafting. It's real life..

So here are two attempts at colouring my QKR Stampede wolf stamps.... I will do a few more until I am happy. It's a work in progress. We are always learning ( thankfully )

DT Biblical impressions

I received these two gorgeous stamps In the post and the minute I saw them I knew that they needed to be used on a green and brown card. I kept this card very simple so as not to take away from the verse.

Psalms is one of my favourite books of the bible. And this is by far one of my most favourite verses. I listened to our songsters singing this only the other week. Have had three friends post this as their Facebook status update so it's clear God is trying to get me to hear Him.

I hope you like this card I am making a few more with this stamp today as its really got me thinking.

I design for.... ooooooo my exciting news!!!

I design for........ Eureka Stamps AND Biblical Impressions... I have just started working out the ins and outs of the DT and am sooooooooo excited!

I applied for the DT months ago and heard nothing, so you can imagine my delight when I had an email from The owner to ask if I would!!! I jumped up and down!! Lucky for me I have a couple of their stamps so can at least make a start on bits for the upcoming blog hops,

Bible themed stamps are soooooooo difficult to come by, there are only a few suppliers of stamps to the Christian Community. I am a huge fan of verse stamps, I LOVE nothing more than a big verse on the front or to build a scene ( a recent leaning curve) I can't wait to dig out my distress inks, glitters, glues, ribbons, blooms and dies!!!

So watch out for 6 months of fab fun from me, and a lifetime from the company!

Arthritis Care and the Hardest Hit campaign

For those who don't know and are new to my blog. I have a teenager with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Katie is 15 now and was diagnosed in 2006 with Enthesitis Related Arthritis and Psoriatic Arthritis. I have been a fundraising girl for about a year now and in 2011, I raised £824.

This is Katie, Melanie from Arthritis Care Scotland and Myself in May. I had just abseiled from the Forth rail Bridge despite a massive fear of heights, think it took a few weeks for me to stop crying.

I hope to top that again next year by continuing to run card making groups for Crafting girls. By selling handmade items and by talking to groups about how Arthritis affects ALL ages.

It isn't a Disease for auld folk. My daughter has it and will have it for life, she will continue to require drips 6 weekly, daily pain medications and weekly low dose chemo tablets called Methotrexate. on top of that she has steroid injections into her joints and physio...

We have a motability car, this allows us to get about without putting stress on her joints, to get her to all the Drs and clinic appointments and not to mention collecting her from school as much sometimes as 3 times a week due to pain levels. Her attendance levels are at 75%. we cant count the sent home levels as its not recorded.

She struggles to get in a bath, cant run for a while with her friends, had extreme exhaustion, she can easily sleep from the moment she gets home from school until the next morning, struggles to write for periods of time has no muscle in her hands so is unable to hold heavy things and drops alot!

Pain levels are through the roof so Codiene, Amatryptaline, Paracetamol and Brexidol are her daily friends... shake her and she does rattle. We have a referral to pain management clinic so that is another clinic to add in to the mix.

She has joint damage to a lot of her body, jaw joint damage and is in need of a jaw replacement, she has steroid injections on a regular basis, on average 3 times a year. to sometimes as many as 18 joints at a time.

Winter is a killer for Katie's joints. her pain increases ten fold and her grump factor multiplies by 1000. My grump factor also increases ;)

People look at her and think..... she looks healthy, she is tall and slim and pretty, smiles a lot so cannot be so poorly.... live with us for a week and see what its like.

So please support the Campaign. There are many Katie's out there. Different ages and different conditions.

Sometimes we look at a charity and think ok they have our money and we don't hear from them again, we have no need mostly. we just part with pennies when asked and think nothing more of it. Happy that we have done a wee bit to help others.

Arthritis Care however are not a behind the scenes style of Charity. They are a campaign type of Charity. I saw their facebook update today for The Hardest Hit Campaign. The are petitioning, not just for Arthritis BUT for other conditions too. Asking the government to STOP the attacks on Disability benefits and the sick.

December Card Kit and Blooms Kit

Soooooo much news to fill you in on so get a coffee and sit down....

I had until this afternoon lost my password! It has taken me months to work out how to fix it and thankfully now its done and fixed with my password safely tucked away :D yayyyy

Katie continues to do well with her arthritis, and thanks to many wonderful fundraising crops and sponsors the grand total for my fundraising for Arthritis Care Scotland I managed to top.... £824 !!! I couldn't believe it! and thanks everyone for all your shoves, pushes and kind words. This was taken just after my abseil, I was in floods of tears and it has done NOTHING to improve my fear of heights. Katie at the end is my gorgeous girly! she is much taller than that now!! and in the middle is our Melanie from Arthritis Care Scotland, she is a wee ball of energy and positive thinking. Her dad held my hand and stayed with me until I was tipped unceremoniously off the Forth rail bridge SCREAMING like I have never screamed before. It took me weeks to stop crying! Had it not been for Mick I doubt I woulda got up the stairs to the bridge jump site never mind shoved over the side by the instructors.

October saw the Your Wedding Dress ball to raise funds for Clic Sargent house in Prestwick. I jumped in with both feet as it was a charity close to my heart, my friend Nicolas' adorable and gorgeous Princess passed away sadly in August due to Leukaemia and many a night did I break my heart after visiting her in intensive care. I will miss her gorgeous sunshine smile, her cheeky ways and how she fought soooo hard for so long. Fly high baby girl xx

The wedding dress ball raised over £7500 and more money is still coming in. I went wearing a fabulous corset, I have never been married so was unable to wear a wedding dress :( Yes there is waaaaaaaaay to much flesh on display! and Nicola looks gorgeous. It was hard for her to be there and she felt she wanted to support the charity. I am so proud of her strength and grace. xxx

I was back working for Samuel Taylors in October at SECC HobbyCraft show. I had a blast, was thoroughly exhausted but survived and said hi to soooooooo many gorgeous crafty people! on the Monday after it finished I went to have coffee with Angela from Angelcrafts.biz and planned to go and crawl into my bed.... fate has a way of stopping you!!

I had a call from David asking me to wander down to NEC Birmingham and work for them again... cue another week of demonstrating ...oh its a hard life eh!! LOLOL!!

This is my lovely Facebook and real life crafty friend Michaela who came along to say hi and gave me a boost. I was soooo nervous! as I was unsure if anyone would understand my accent! She gave me a massive cuddle and a huge grin! It was enough for me to get going!

Must dash as my NEXT blog post in an hour will tell of the December Card makers kit and the Blooms kits :) and boy they are gorgeous!!!! oh and I am also going to be sharing some candy.... yummy floral candy!!!

August sees the return of the card makers kit and a new exciting kit.

My friend Jayne at craftyfeeling has had to stop her kits due to family commitments. I have now taken over the kits and will offer them on a monthly subscription.

Angel Crafts Ribbon Kit Tutorial

I got my gorgeous overstuffed ribbon kit from Angel Crafts on Sunday, I had seen a picture of it and knew in my head what I wanted to do!!.

Let me introduce the Ribbon Stick!

First step is to take your three chain necklace finding, and add in three jump rings.

Pardon my photo but it should look like this...

Then add the jump rings to the 3 chain finding and you should get this...

Cut a small length of chain and using a fourth jump ring attach it to the top loop in the finding...

You should be left with this....

I cut some dowelling available from any DIY store and using a pin attached the chain to the dowell. This allows for free movement of the ribbons when your little darling is swinging it in the garden.

YES it killed me to use 3m of ribbon BUT, I felt it needed it..

I am taking a few to the Craft fayre I am attending... Cant wait to see the children's faces at the market xx

Crafting for Katie - Arthritis Care Scotland fund-raising!

As you all know, or may not if you are a new reader to the blog..... My teen has Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Katie was diagnosed in 2006 with Enthesitis Related and Psoriatic Arthritis. Last year she arranged a fund raiser for Arthritis Care Scotland... and this year she is doing it again!!

We are holding a craft day in Kilmarnock and she is hoping to raise £1000. If you would like to come along, please email me karen@quackas.com the event can be found on facebook and here is the link CRAFT DAY!

The day will be fabulous and costs just £10 per person, this will go to Arthritis Care Scotland. for your £10 you will get a table and chair with space to work, tea/coffee...bottled water, a light lunch and a fun day out to work on your projects.

Angela from Angel Crafts will be there with her gorgeous shop and all the scrummy goodies and we will also have some classes to teach techniques that you may have seen and wanted to try.

A second date was also given to me and this will be announced as soon as possible.

Some donations for raffle prizes have been made from Tando Creative, AngelCrafts, Stamp box, and Carol Bryson Wood (Independant Stampin Up demo). We welcome any donations of crafty raffle prizes for the event and will be glad to post out raffle prizes to anyone who wishes to buy tickets... we will let you know soon how you can purchase your tickets.

Helen Cosgrove will come along on the day and offer hand massage/neck and shoulder massage to anyone who wants it.... as Katie's Auntie she is well versed in the care needed for arthritic joints. Helen is a mobile holistic therapist covering Kilmarnock and surrounding areas.

WOW - It has been that long huh!! OOOPPPSSSS

Wow soooooo much has happened since my last post in October (shocking it has been so long between posts)

I have been very busy with wedding stationery, drving tests, sick kids, dotty cats and the like so I will do a brief summary so you know what has happened.

Cora my little old lady cat, sadly passed away at the end of October... she was much loved and is still bitterly missed. She didn't go out without fighting and the vet was under no illusions that she was unimpressed by his diagnosis. It was the right decision to let her go as sadly her kidneys has shut down and she was 18.

Her last day with us was very happy and she knew she was loved.

2 weeks later I had my driving test. I didn't feel like sitting it, However I did and I passed with flying colours. I went out a few days later and ordered my car.... she is lovingly name Doris...

The wedding season started to calm down so I immediately went into overdrive with Xmas fayres :) 6 to be exact.. Exhaustion levels increased proportionally to the devastation that filled my house.

December is for me traditionally a very busy month. Church meetings increase, Nativity Practices, the children go out to sing at nursing homes, on Christmas day the band goes out to the hospital to sing and play Carols to those who have to stay in over the festive season. Katie had an operation on the 22nd for more steroid injections for her arthritis... and a visit to Miss Shanna in the Leukaemia ward was in order to give her a wave. She started her bone marrow transplant tomorrow morning. Hopefully she will be able to be allowed home soon and live a normal life.

Friday night saw the Hogmany party at church... lots of fun and festivities were celebrated together. Followed by me driving off into the darkness for a weekend in Rosyth.... !!! ooo heck!.

Here are 2 of the cards that were made as orders. one for my gran to give to her sister. and the other an order for a lady's grand daughter called Poppy. Poppy lives in Australia and her Gran wanted some tartan on her card.

It seems that I have neglected to update the blog with the latest kit!! OOPS... I updated the facebook group and quickly filled up my diary. So sorry about that!!

The October kit is just adorable. it is over filled again this month here is the list of goodies and photos. Some of the items are not showing in the picture I think they got lost in the midst of my excitement to photograph.

Time To Sow - Words Like Honey

The postman brought me a lovely set of stamps from Time to Sow. Time to Sow are a Christian Company who specialise in scripture stamps. It is a small rather yummy family run business. Their own stamp range is called Words Like Honey.

Based on Psalm 16 Vs 24 - Kind words are like honey--sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.

And yes the stamps truely are like honey. I was sent a selection of adorable stamps just newly released to play with, and boy did I feel blessed.

This is the delightful selection sent to me which arrived on Friday, have sat on my desk while my brain decided what to do with them.

Today I decided to open my first packet and here is the card made with it. and these stamps are Words like honey.

Hougie Board Tutorial - Folded Card with tag pocket

Take a sheet of 12"x12" Paper and score at 6", turn around 90 degrees and score again at 6"

In one corner fold the corner down halfway, in the opposite corner fold under corner to centre ... and you should have what looks like this...

Cut from edge to centre as shown in the picture.....

Fold from the cut down to the centre, this will place the half fold section on the other side.

fold the left hand side over towards the already folded side.

Now stick the bottom folded section down as this is the front of your card...

Now to decorate your card, I used the gorgeous new realese stamps from Time To Sow. A Christian based stamp and craft company. I also ran a ribbon down the side of the inside section, this is also a pocket so you could easily place a small bookmark or voucher in here if you want your card to be a gift card for Christmas or a birthday.

Hougie Board Tutorial - Post it Note holder

Step 1)

Cut a piece of cardstock, 19cm x 9cm.

Step 2) Score at 8cm, 9cm and 10cm. and fold along the crease lines....

Step 3) fold the cardstock in two along the centre score. make 4 cuts from edge to score crease. This will be where the small pen sits.

Step 4) attach sticky tape to the 10cm fold lineand using the photo as a guide fold over to stick down the cardstock.

Step 5) decorate your cover and place your post it note pad in place.

These are my newest Tilda makes.... I just adore this style of card. I love the lace behind the image, it nearly killed me to use as much as I did to get the ruched look. I think it was worth it though.

I have been a tiny bit busy today making my first ever altered chipboard house. I bought a lovely little house a few months ago from Angela at Angelcrafts.biz, and up until this afternoon I had no idea what to do with it.

I had been sitting playing with the new kit and thought.... OMG why didnt I use this before now!!! I used the buttons on the roof, and the two pretty pins as the chimney.... isnt it soooooooooooooo pink looking!!! Emily said that the May Arts ribbon reminded her of grass and this was stuck in my head... so now my house has a pretty hedge edging to it :D Oh to grow flowers that MASSIVE!!!

I have a bird house chipboard kit to use as well, and already have plans to use the kit for 2 months time for this !!

The first kit YAYYYYYY!!!

Our first kit is Crate Paper - Bliss. oooooo I love the feels of the paper and the bazzil, the reverse side of the papers has co-ordinating colours. The bazzil is textured and ooo so nice to touch.

With the kit is a pot of black glitter, who needs dull colours when you can have gorgeous sparkly elegant black. There are 9 card blanks with envalopes and 4 card bags.

3 x 12" ribbons , May Arts ribbon fresh in from the states, black and a gorgeous sparkly pink ribbon with silver, they just tie in so nicely. co-ordinating buttons, gems, pins and dew drops. and a beautiful Prima Pearls part pack.

I have been busy making sample wedding invites and menus. Having a play with cards that are not Tildas was a huge challenge for me lol, I have got into a Tilda rut and this was just soooooooooooo much fun. I am taking the samples to a shop on Thursday, so tomorrow after I have been out to lunch with a friend, I will make the favour boxes. Ooooo happy dayssssss, I really am enjoying working for myself.... although I reallllllllly must be more disciplined.

I have been rather busy behind the scenes at home, and have recently gone self employed. I am taking samples of my wedding stationery to a local shop for it to be sold, how exciting!!

I am also now offering monthly subscription card makers kits, every month on the 15th of the month a gorgeous box will be posted. The box will contain lots of bazzill, patterned paper, card blanks, envelopes and card bags for you to to sell your cards on once made.

Included with this kit will also be buttons, brads, flowers, ribbons, layering mats and a variety of other things. Some months the kits will be 6x12 and other months A4 or 8x8, kits will be delivered in a box so that papers are uncreased.

The kits will be available for £12, this includes free postage within the UK.

I am a scrap booker at heart and understand that value for money and strokability is a huge factor.

Thoughts and requests will be listened to and I have set up a facebook fan page so that ideas can be jotted down. Here is the facebook link :)

Ok Ok Ok So i appear to be in love with Side step cards just now, they are just sooooo pretty and quick to make, easy to decorate and look yummy.

I have coloured Tilda with wand with promarkers and covered the card in little tiny flowers from Craftyfeeling.co.uk. I have since added stickles to the insides of each flower, and wanted to take a photo of it but it was grabbed by a friend. Sorry :( would you mind using your imagination with this one please :)

My new Tilda stamps arrived last week, and in amongst the chaos that is my life, i managed to get a small amount of simple quiet time to make a card.

Here is my side step card with wedding couple, and roses from Craftyfeeling.co.uk When my blooms kit arrived and I opened the box to find the roses I just KNEW what needed to be done with them.

What a busy month I have been having, things have been toooooo hectic here and I am so sorry for not updating sooner. Not everything has gone well, the guy I was dating is now only a friend..... hey ho a single gal appears to be my role in life.

I have happily remained good friends with him, and am glad that we got past the temper tantrums. He came over 2 weeks ago and built me a crafting area, knowing how important it is to me and my sanity.

The house has been a major disaster as I have also been decorating Katies room, had her at hospital for more steroid injections, decided to clear out clutter, started and walked out of the job from hell, and heck things are just starting to calm down and I have had time to get back to my cards. So here is what happens when you take a month off from crafting and finally get back into it

Apologies ladies for my lack of blogging updates this week. I have 2 very good excuses for my lack of postings.

The first is that I have been busy redecorating Katies bedroom, it has gone from young teen slop house, to young lady super sophisticated. I scrapped, I papered badly, I bought new bed and furniture, I built new furniture, I moved old furniture downstairs for friends to collect to give to their kids, and wow I even lost quite a bit of weight and hip area doing so. I am shattered but happy in the knowledge that I can build units and have a reasonably good taste in décor.

My second bit of news is waaaaaaaaaaaaay more exciting, and I intentionally mentioned the first as friends are now tired of me grinning and blushing.

I have started dating again!!! yes i know minor miracle, for those who dont know me, i last dated in 2007 and before that, well ummmmmmmmmm yeah ok lets just say its a minor miracle. I have been swept off of my feet and taken out to dinner, lots of hugs and hand holding. You cant make cards when hand holding.

Anyhoo I will update with a card as soon as I can, I managed to ink up one of my new tilda stamps today and fully intend to make a cute over the top card to suit my mood :)

I had a very, very exciting email a few days ago. I applied for a design team spot on Sarah Paris , I received an email telling me that although I didn't get an official spot on the DT she would like me to concentrate on the fairies and mermaids and using them on my blog and for facebook :D

So here is my first venture into Digi stamps, please be gentle with me, my digi skills will improve as we go along.

Sorry, Katie has been pretty unwell and keeps landing in hospital lately, yesterday she went back to hospital for more jaw joint injections. This time sadly she was in huge amounts of pain afterwards which happens occasionally, I woke up this morning to her singing songs from West Side Story, so I take it that the injections worked after she rested.

On top of that I went away for a few days and partied like it was 1999. Lee the birthday boy was 30 !!! But I have been asked not to share photos of them, so here is one of me in my gorgeous new dress.....

Then what should have been a nice relaxing journey back home... he hem it is our rail system and I should have known better... MUCH better... I was just glad to get home :)

So back to normal from tomorrow evening :)

Oh and postie stalking has been put on hold, It just dawned on me that my Magnolia kit will be held up due to the airport closures!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHH.

Well the new kit hit my doorstep and right away I KNEW what needed to be done, I was gifted a gorgeous pile of images and stamps from a gorgeous Canuke called Candy. Who hopefully has received a box of Scottish goodies.... I really must catch up with her soon...

I am working on setting up a proper card photographing are when my handsome friend comes over to put me up a crafting area in my living room.

In the mean time I am working on my dining table in a dark and dismal corner, only a couple of weeks to go til its all gorgeous and with more hangy bits than you can shake a stick at !!

Katie my teenage darling drama queen has Arthritis and hasn't always been very well with it, Arthritis Care Scotland provides a helpline amongst other things, a kids day out where the kids go to a theme park, take family, play have a wonderful meal afterwards in a gorgeous Hotel AND on top of that get a goody bag.

I felt that it was about time that I organised some fund raising to say a HUGE thanks to all the people who provide this support often on a voluntary basis.

Come along to Dean Castle in Kilmarnock on the 29th of May, bring your family and walk with us to raise funds for Arthritis Care Scotland.

Dean Castles Park Rangers will be taking 2 separate walks with a 3rd by a volunteer. walk for 5 minutes or 5 miles and see some gorgeous surroundings. http://www.deancastle.com/

Walks to suit all ages and there will be a tea and coffee tent for those unable to walk.

Isn't this just sooooooooooooo Spring like??

I adored the colours in this months kit from Craftyfeeling and sat with my promarkers and coloured in a Hanglar image, added stickles and stuck on a whole whack of blooms :D I even used some rather large ones on the back section of the steps :)

This card will be given to a Sunday school Child, I make cards for the kids birthdays so they all get a nice unique card just for them, not some pre printed yucky one :) Trust me, I had many a year of Sunday school cards growing up...

I made this card to go in my card box and boy is it a big 'un.... the card is a c5 I think.... and is a copy (yes i know, couldn't get my own ideas huh!) of a card I spotted in Magnolia Ink magazine.

The card is all bazzil, with a stamped image of Tilda and Edwin getting married, coloured with promarkers and the heart is from the Winter stamp club kit. ink used on the edges is so saffron from Stampin up and the adorable tea roses and pearls are from crafty feeling :)

Cooking Hanglar Girl

I made this little sweetie for a Sunday school kid. I have had great fun making cards for the kids The images are Hanglar from TriciaTaddy on eBay. Tricia supplies a large range of stamped images all are beautifully stamped and come well packaged. Go check out her images and you will be impressed with her collection of Hanglars and Magnolias The papers are just off cuts from my scraps box and I have no way of telling who they are from.

Images coloured using promarkers and a tiny dink of glossy accents on the cherry :) apologies for the poor photograph... It would appear my camera is playing up :(

Easter Tilda

Here is one of my favourite and most used Tilda stamps. When i look around I don't see many of this image used, I love her because she is Praying, asking for forgiveness or simply giving thanks.

I made this card from a 6"x12" sheet of grey Bazill, a 3d paper cross I bought 3 years ago in America that I forgot I had (whoops) and some hand cut magnolia stamped flowers (boy my hands hurt after cutting out such small flowers with blunt scissors. The Bible text is Psalm 23.

Today I made a card for a friend at church.

I used some old paper I had in my scrap box, I think its MME.... ok I am pretty positive that it is. Taken with Teal ink from Stampin up.

Hello!!

Well it has been three months since I was online last. :( my laptop and computer both died. I adopted Cora the old lady cat, and have been rearranging my house with little success.

In the mean time I have been busy with crafting more card making than scrap booking to be honest, with 2 mini books for my DT work with Craftyfeeling one is a tiny little book with hand drawings of my plans for the garden and the other is a recipe book filled with Scottish recipes, YES I do realise that I have misspelled the word recipes LOL, it's all fixed now :) .

I was asked to make cards for Sunday school and handed over 15 of the little darlings... at the moment I am leaning more to 6x6 cards. so 15 cards down and 10 to go lol... thankfully all October - December birthdays.

Katie had her CT scan a fortnight ago :) here are a few pics so you can see what shes doing and how things are going for her... We are due at the consultants for results and will post them as soon as we know :) Try not to panic when i say i am really looking forward to her jaw replacement surgery.... its not that i want her to go under the knife, but that i want her to be pain free and able to eat without pain, be able to chew gum and also be able to play her instrument without the agony that she has just now :)

The staff who helped her with the CT were just lovely, they were a bit confused that i wanted photos of the scan until i explained that im a scrapbooker and im trying hard to keep photos of the Arthur journey for when shes older... also to document how hard its been for her and how far shes come...

So now that i know how to make the candles and i am doing not too bad a job.... here are some i made using my Christ is Born set.... I am in love with this stamp set... have been making my Black Christmas cards (its dark in December!!) and the cards are made using copper ink so the image really pops out . I will blog the card tomorrow to go with the Candles :)

One candle is in black and the other in red stazon... i prefer the black... the red bled so i cant give those candles away as they arent near good enough to put in a present. I will gladly keep them tho ;) The Bible verse is from a stamp i bought from Ebay... a girl called Nella sells alot of lovely stamps she brings in from America and is my main source of scripture stamps... when buying from her, say hi in your note, she really is friendly...

Just a wee update with my latest rescue cat, Marble went back to his mummy and is happy to be back and please meet Cora who is over 13 but not sure how much older. She is lovely and only comes out at night, she is a real halloween cat as her colours show.

She is very scared and hides alot but im hoping that as shes only been here a week she will she will learn to relax and calm down.

The fact that Sirius thinks shes a new playmate isnt helping her to stop screaming at him.. neither is his running around following her wanting to be friends...

I received my kit last week and the minute i saw it I thought... ooooooooooooo Christmas !!!! the reds and greens are just sooo perfect! The charm was bought a few months ago from the shop as well :) and i am loving putting charms on everything, cards, boxes, LOs, hand made books and so much more......

I bought this stamp off of ebay last year, when i was trying hard to enjoy my new hobby.... Its taken until now to find my style and believe that the cards I make appear to be liked by people.

New Stampin up sub

I answered the door to the postie today and he handed me the usual bill, bills, bills and junk mail, then reached into the bag he was carrying and handed me my new Stampin Up sub stamp set.... i have wanted this stamp set since last year and have been drooling over it... Its now retired :( but i HAVE IT yayyyy... I have been playing with them and the two cards below are the result of my first play using my copics and blooms from CraftyFeeling.co.uk, Jayne at Craftyfeeling has also been stocking bling and gorgeous charms... she is about to start stocking chain and jump rings to use with the charms so you can hang them from cards.... keep an eye out for lots of new goodies in her shop.

Here is a sneak peek of a very girly minibook that im working on ! Its been under construction for such a long time, im very nervous about it not being right... the book is for a friend and her daughter.... and i sooooooooooo want it to be right !!

I will be working on the book this week so it will be finished and gifted... I really want to keep it as i just LOVE it !! LOL.... but that would be mean...

Ok so i felt bad about leaving the book as unfinished as it was, it annoyed me that it had NO decor on it even tho its a freebie and i didnt and wont get paid for it!! still couldnt leave it as basic! so here we go... the photos of the book all they need to do is add in journalling and photos and it will be complete...

Here is a retirement book that i bought then painted, i only had a couple of hours to complete this so couldnt decorate it :( I have provided a big bag of goodies for the book to be decorated with later on and also had to make pages to go into the book for people to leave messages :)

Here is my latest card made with Flowers from this months flower kit from Craftyfeeling, the hanging ladybird is also from there and they are available in packs of 10... This was one of my most favourite kits, i have big plans for the use of the blooms, also photographed is a photo of the actual kit!

Isnt it just gorgeous, couldnt you see yourself subscribing to this kit! it costs £10 a month with free postage in the UK, if you want to subscribe then go to Craftyfeeling and check it out... there is no minimum subscription period, no hidden costs.... but there will be a huge feeling of satisfation when you add it to your stash pile and use it to make cards, Layouts, minibooks, tags and heck just to stroke because they are so pretty.

A massive thanks to Veronica of VK Designs for jumping into my head, rummaging around and pulling out exactly the blog design i wanted. She took one phrase... " I love ducks" and ran with that thought....

Her emails were friendly and cheery, I felt as though i was talking to an old friend and that she cared about what i wanted.... which is true.

She realised that a sense of humour is a huge part of me and hence my duck upside down with a wiggly bottom LOL...

Katie started 2nd Year at school on Monday, On tuesday she went to the docs and on wednesday had surgery, on thursday we rested lol....

Katies going back into hospital tomorrow morning for an arthrocentesis (clean out and packing in pain meds to the jaw joint to us common folk)

The lack of updates is directly related to that as will be the next few days, If like me you pray, please do so....if you prefer to cross fingers then thats great too :)

The last one 3 weeks ago wasnt a sucess im afraid and this is another attempt to give Katie some pain free time.... shes too young for the Jaw replacement she so needs...

All blooms and charms are from Jaynes shop, craftyfeeling is full of the most wonderful blooms and charms for all budgets and occasions. The lilac flowers are from this months purple and spring green blooms kit.... the dark red and white from a previous kit.

I'm on my holidays

Sorry for lack of updates, but i am currently away on holiday... I am having a fabulous time and have met soooooo many people from UKS at the Warrington crop .. Hysteri-Cal, Weirdcat, Tillybud, Sarah and Lianne from Sarahs Cards, Julesaroony and Juliewan (both of whom im in a CJ with).... gosh who have i missed !!! There were so many people there and i had a ball sitting singing and laughing oh and crafting hahaha.

I made some cards and a couple of door hangers, one of which im not happy with so am taking apart. I made Jayne her nice new hanger for her craft room, seeing as she is putting up with me and letting me stay with her for a week!!

We spent yesterday after the crop, making up blooms kits for the next months or two, and chosing the colours for the next few months!!! I know what we are getting girls in our kits yayyyyy... I am NOT open to bribes for information, its more than my lifes worth.

Today we are off out for a wander around wholesalers to get ribbons and embellishments for the up coming kits. :D how excited am I??!!!

Whats on your work desk, hmmmmmmmm well whilst blog hopping i came across this question..... i am ashamed to say that my desk is in my living room just now in front of the window no less !!! oh the shame..... pfffffft no shame here LOL

The first photo shows the chaos that i enjoy working in.... the second shows what happens when you get up from your chair to get a glass of juice.... my cat seriously thinks that "you move you lose" so i darent get up from a chair in this house for fear i wont get it back without a debate. Even the kids know not to move lol.... Dinner time is a sit still affair in my house !

I have to constantly sit on ribbons too as the minute i am engrossed the cat grabs and runs, just like a furry bank robber!

Wow thanks to the amazing service of Sirstampalot.co.uk and the luffly super friendly Janice!!!!

I ordered some stamps yesterday about 3pm, they were delivered this morning and ripped out of their packaging. So here we are.... Tilda in the rain.

The blooms are from my kit that i sub to... Craftyfeeling.co.uk and Jayne taught me how to add hanging bits to my blooms, so now i cant stop myself adding them to every card i make.

I made 30 toppers for cards, using a mix of Hanglar, Tildas and my spiderman stamps.... The Hanglars were ones that i bought the images of so i could have a play....

Can you believe how hectic my mojo has been these past few days.... He is now lying sparked out on the sofa and sleep talking :o .... i might be done for mojo abuse if im not careful!!!

My stamped images are a mix of mine and those bought on ebay.

The kids cards were made to celebrate 4 kids becoming Junior Soldiers this morning at church, im sure they will be well received.

Yes i have been wandering around the web and found a gorgeous card made with a gorgeous Tilda from an upcoming kit..see the gorgeous blog of Pretty Pressings.. I have drooled over my keyboard all day and told a fair few folk about it....

As well as the Wedding couple, i have also found a picture of the gorgeous new Graduation and Student kit.... I intend to buy these on Monday afternoon!!! how exciting huh!!
